Refund Policy

- Unused credits — pro-rata refund on the most recent charge, any time.
- Used credits — not refundable. They're the service you paid for.
- Always — paid credits never expire. Unused paid balance rolls forward and sticks around after you cancel.
1How credits work
Reel Studio runs on a credit system. Each subscription tops up your balance at the start of the period. Credits are only debited when a generation actually dispatches to a model provider — failed generations are refunded automatically.
Purchased credits do not expire. Unused paid credits roll forward every cycle. Trial credits may expire at the end of their trial window.
2Refund on unused credits
If you decide Reel Studio isn't for you, email us. We refund the pro-rata value of the credits you haven't used yet from your most recent charge — any time, no time window. Used credits aren't refundable: generations have already cost us money at the model providers, so treating consumed credits as services rendered is the only policy we can run sustainably.
If you haven't used any credits yet, that formula works out to a full refund — so refunding right after a charge, before you generate anything, gets you all your money back. Credits from promotions or signup bonuses don't factor in; only credits you paid for.
3Failed generations are free
Credits are only debited when a generation dispatches to a model provider. If a job errors before producing output, the credits are refunded to your balance automatically — we never charge for broken runs.
4Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription anytime from /billing. Cancellation stops the next charge but preserves access through the end of the current paid period. No partial refund is automatically triggered on cancel — if you'd like a pro-rata refund, email us.
5Automatic refunds
We refund credits to your balance automatically when:
- A generation job fails before output is produced
- A model provider returns an error
- Our system double-charged you for the same job (we monitor this — tell us if you catch one we missed)
6How to request a refund
Email [email protected] with the account email and the transaction date. We respond within 5 business days. Refunds process back to the original payment method via LemonSqueezy.
7Chargebacks
Please contact us first. We'd much rather refund you directly than fight a chargeback. If a dispute is opened before you've emailed us, we'll pause the account while we sort it out.
8Your legal rights
This policy doesn't override your statutory consumer rights. If your local law grants stronger refund rights, those apply.
